"How do I wash my diapers?"
Washing is easy! For soiled diapers, either remove the solids with a wipe and toss in the diaper pail, or shake into the toilet. Once that's done (or for pee-pee diapers), store the diaper in a diaper wet bag (The bags aren't wet! That's just the name for them!) for up to 3 days. Remove the inserts and dump them all into the washing machine. Do a cold rinse (or soak) with maximum water. Wash on warm or hot with 1/4 to 1/2 the usual detergent, with and extra rinse cycle at the end. Do NOT use bleach or fabric softener!!!! Doing so will damage your diapers and make your wicking fabric repel! This is not good!!! Throw the diapers in the dryer and dry on whatever temperature you like. Make sure you dry your diapers on hot at least once per week to re-seal the PUL! If you live in a nice sunny area, dry your diapers outside in the sun! It's great for removing stains. That's it! Super easy.
"But I have a front-loader! Help!"
Relax! I have a front-loader too! For machine settings, do a delicate wash (cold - no detergent), followed by a sanitary wash (with detergent), followed by a delicate wash (with Tea Tree Oil)! Presto!
"Now that I'm cloth diapering, I can't stop staring at my child's behind!"
Ah, you are not alone. If you are constantly looking at your baby's behind, then my job is done!
